Notes: More transfers from a Andre James Fantarrow VHS - so believed either first or second gen. He indicated that at the time, that the main audience recording was quite tricky to get hold of: don't know what the situation is 20-odd years on! Some of this, at least, was probably from betty07 (but not all).
Original torrent notes, for main audience recording only:
It's filmed from slightly left of centre, not that far back. Clearly a fairly lively crowd, the cameraman gets a lot of bumps, so it can be shaky at times. When it's steady, however, it's an excellent, clear, sharp picture. Very good audio as well. The final two songs, however (White Light/White Heat and The Jean Genie/Gloria) are both missing.
David dedicates the show to Stevie Ray Vaughan, who'd died two days earlier.

This release for Bowie Station is an upgrade, and adds three further recordings from the Linz concert:
1. Alternative Audience Recording
Described by bassman thus: "Shot from seating area (right angle) -60% close. Unobstructed and steady. Very good sound. Except* which is a two-camera mix with excellent sound and partly filmed from centre position (feet up close).
Footage of fans before the show (1min)
Rebel Rebel (filmed off screen for a couple of seconds)
Ashes To Ashes (filmed off screen for a couple of seconds)
Pretty Pink Rose (very unsteady in places)
Heroes (-cut, 2min)
Station To Station (-cut, 1.39min)
China Girl (-cut, 2.36min)
Fame (-cut, 1.20min). (38min)"
Seems accurate enough to me, just to mention that it's quite a quiet audio track.
2. "Pirate TV" Footage
On two separate tapes from Andre, described as "pirate TV", whatever that means". Only three tracks:
Ode To Joy
3. "Private" footage of David and band at the hotel
Basically stalker footage, but quite a lot of it. Blurry and very variable in quality, and not that much of David. Love it or hate it.
