Hi Bowie fanatics,
i have entered Bowie`s world in 1976 with "Station To Station". That was my first Bowie album and it`s still my favorite. Or in Bowie`s case, one of the 3 favorites
( the other 2 being Ziggy and Heroes ).
As Erik Snow has told me the situation with Bowie`s live bootlegs was not so good. There were just no bootlegs that were recorded well. This one was recommended by Erik Snow to me. So i have remastered it.
I had to fix pitch first. Most of it was running too fast. But the last 3 songs were bit too slow.
After that i have fixed phasing problem caused by azimuth situation ( few generation of re recording this tape on different machines with different Azimuth ).
In the end i did some EQ and level correction.
Cover art was rework and restored by Erik Snow.
The L.A. songs are recorded off the vinyl with the same title, and the excellent sound quality is maintained. The songs marked * are from the Rotterdam show, and for the first time is PANIC IN DETROIT from that show available on disc. The Rotterdam songs are sound-board recordings just like the previously available songs from the same concert. The only unreleased song from that show now is QUEEN BITCH. Very nice "filler bits"! The CD is said to be Japanese, but it is Italian. Anyway, a disc I warmly recommend! -BASSMAN
