Fleetwood Mac 1969-02-28 The Hague Amsterdam, Holland (FURTHER UPGRADE and missing track re-inserted)

 Fleetwood Mac
The Hague 1969-02-28 & Amsterdam 1960-03-01
- UPGRADE & REPAIR VERSION& missing track #17 re-inserted -

**Contrast clause #1 RE torrent #598345
Just after I uploaded this torrent I was informed by a few alert fellow Dimers that track #17 was missing from the torrent. No FRIGGING idea why and what happened. BIG TIME sorry folks about your ratio loss and extra efforts!! I of course reinserted it INSTANTLY in this new torrent here. I checked, you bet!
 Mac ahoy! Th:-)mas

**Contrast clause #2 RE torrent #597842**
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=597842

My above mentioned upload was already a huge upgrade to the previous torrent #381442, see my contrast clause from that time below. However, my source for this new torrent and dear Fleetwood Mate, fellow Dimer Bert "pernod" now most fortunately made me aware of his superior copies for BOTH shows!

Though both recordings and copies clearly stem from the same off-air source tape(s), it is obvious that they definitely surpass the previously torrented ones: the respective slight but *clearly audiable upgrades* become apparent in the recordings sounding fuller, with less harsh treble and with more and smoother bass (without being EQ'ed, of course). So, they clearly derive from lower generation analog copies.
For proof, check audio samples in the comments:
Audio sample #1 ("One Sided Love" for the The Hague show,
audio sample #2 ("Merry Go-Round" for the Amsterdam show.

Furthermore, Bert also tracked the recordings more specifically, with the intros and the very beginning of the cut "Teenage Darling" as seperate tracks, hence you get more tracks; he too detected a glitch in "Stop Messin' Around" that he kindly fixed for this upgrade.

**For completeness sake, contrast clause #3 RE torrent #381442**

This torrent here
a) is a considerable sonic upgrade to the previous version (check audio sample in comments for comparison; 0:00-0:34 secs.: THIS torrent, 0:35 secs. – 1:03secs., other torrent),
b) is un-EQ'ed, and
c) contains both broadcast shows of the same night whereras the previous torrent came with the Amsterdam portion only.

Fleetwood Mac indeed played two shows in different cities on one night, first in The Hague at 7:15pm, and at midnight in Amsterdam. Pretty tough schedule for that night, I'd say.

About half an hour portions of each (originally of course longer) shows were recorded for b'cast:
The The Hague portion was either b'cast on radio and/or on Dutch TV; my source, fellow Dimer pernod told me about a Dutch fan who claims to have seen this show on TV; it seems though it was never re-b'cast. The Amsterdam show was radio b'cast as "Pop Party", perhaps a Dutch radio series of live shows (?)

A condensed one our-long 10-track combo of the two shows was obviously b'cast on Dutch radio on April 20, 1969 (with the Amsterdam tracks placed first), and that version got into wider circulation and eventually reached the bloke behind Monstie Records in the late 80's/early 90's. In 1991/1992 Monstie Records eventually planned a vinyl release of 300 numbered copies for the dedicated Macanatix, titled "McBlues". However, at that point, the then new CD medium was massively taking over the reigns so the vinyl album never materialised. Discurios, a late 80's/early 90's protection-gap label did release the show on CD in 1992, though they retitled their version as "Roughage '69" - what they seem to have thought funny – and only used the striking main motif of the projected LP.

Anyway, I resurrected the original unused artwork for the front and back of the album jacket and – some 25+ years after its creation - you fellow Dimers may consider yourself lucky to be the first to see it in its full ...well "glory". :-) As some of you may have guessed, the design was OF COURSE highly insprired by legendary William Stout's most ingenious artwork for TMOQ's Jeff Beck album "Beckfast".

*Additional info for this new torrent:*
For those who are interested but may find the scanned liner notes too hard ot read, here is the transpript of the original liner notes:
"Menu One, Menu Two (referring to the two intended vinyl sides).
MERRY GO-ROUND, ONE-SIDED LOVE, DUST MY BROOM, GOT TO MOVE, SUGAR MAMA.
ONE-SIDED LOVE, STOP MESSIN’ AROUND, SAN JOSÉ, ALBATROSS, BLUE SUEDE SHOES.

This album contains a complete one-hour radio broadcast of Fleetwood Mac live in Amsterdam, April 20th, 1969.

Caution: This record may endanger your moral and is not suitable for radio airplay! (Listen closely to Jeremy Spencer's impovised phrasing of "Come on over Baby, I want you to lick my dick!" in "Blue Suede Shoes). FLEETWOOD MAC – fun for the whole family!

Promotional copy no. ________ of 300 only!
Thanks to Moni-(Mouse) for spiritual and pecuniary funds.

Of particular musical note are the two inspired versions of the non-album track "One-Sided Love" and the VERY rarely played "Merry Go-Round" from their debut album.

Sincere thanks go to our fellow Dimer pernod whose *most substantial* contributions – time-consuming sound quality checks & comparisons, discussions with yours truly, background info, adding the previously missing last two Amsterdam tracks and the poster scan etc., etc. – helped share with you the best possible "product". Thanks a kazillion, Bert!

Please do NOT sell this show or spread it in lossy formats - otherwise: trade, share, collect – and enjoy! Always looking forward to your comments and possibly even further info...

Uploaded to Dimeadozen on August 8, 2017 by DocDondy for all fellow-Dimers and Macanatix to enjoy.

Mac ahoy!
