Notes - from FD

Spent quite a bit of time working on this, and trying to take what is an already rather decent source, and presenting it in the best possible way.
I worked on a stereo mix (which had EQ and I felt overdone), a MONO mix from inverted stereo phase (which did pay some dividends, but not enough to keep it, although I have included a one channel mono mix - see below) and then back to a more simple clean-up of initial stereo in order to keep character of original, but well...just cleaner and more listenable.
That means, I didn't use EQ, and I didn't try to NR the thing too much, which is why all of the distortion couldn't be removed without seriously affecting the sound...

I also constantly referred back to original RAW source to make sure that the original sound and character of the tape remained in place...

Every track seems to have something wrong with it, and these range from dropouts in the first section of the tape (first couple of tracks), to a distorted right channel near the middle, to distorted bass in the encore.
Billy seems to turn his bass up for the encores, and this is not the first tape where Purple Haze and Voodoo Child have an overwhelming bass presence, which distorts on these portable recorders.

Note - hitting the wrong key for JBG has always annoyed me, so I have produced two versions, one with first notes cut, but I have also included unedited track for completists.

I have also included the concert as mono because as the tape progresses, the right channel starts off better than the left, but gets increasingly distorted and the left channel tends to be the best after that..I was only going to add selected bonus tracks of mono mixes, but decided that I should just do the whole thing, so people can compare...
Anyway - I can guarantee you that it is the best Philadelphia has sounded so far. Well IMHO.

Finally it is such a pity that this tape is cut in so many places, and we don't have a patch for it - YET...
