Clarence White 1963-00-00 Acoustic Guitar Practice Session CA

Clarence White
Acoustic Guitar
Practice Session
CA, Spring 1963

I imagine that this is more or less what a young Tony Rice might have heard his guitar teacher Clarence playing around LA in the early sixties and told himself "whoa. I wanna play like THAT". The famous Clarence White tone and fluid phrasing that everybody refers to are fantastically represented here. what a feast.

a partial setlist:
1) Billy in the Lowground
2) (?) little liza jane??
3) Flop Eared Mule
4) Soldier’s Joy
5) Farewell Blues
6) (?)
7) Sally Goodin
8) Bugle Call Rag
9) Bury Me Beneath the Willow
10) (?) grey bonnet??
