Volume 17
11th July 1978
(St. LOUIS)
11th
July 1978: St. Louis, Missouri, Kiel Opera House
An
incomplete recording circulated and can be found on ‘Check It Out’
(Goldmasters 1988), ‘Let
Them Burn Your Town” (Pignose -
Digipig 025) and nzb’s version was the same - with an
average
sound and running way too fast!
It can also be found in
“Satisfaction Guaranteed” (VGP 378) with a low sound but better
speed
correction. And seven of the tracks appeared on the vinyl
rip uploaded by Wiredallnight at IORR
(‘Satisfaction
Guaranteed’) which had the best sound and speed.
To get the most
complete recording with a decent sound I merged both similar
versions: the VGP
version on the left channel and the Pignose
version on the right channel.
On the 2 nd CD, I include the 7
tracks from the vinyl rip, slightly upgraded (declicked), and
the
merges between this version (on the left channel) with the VGP
version (on the right channel).
The result seems interesting to
me, although the sound jumps quite a bit from one channel
to
another.
Note: There wasn’t enough space for “Lies”,
which I had to cut, but it was the track that worked the
least!
