DISCLAIMERS
1. I was 3rd row, extreme left, so pretty much just tried to point the mics at the PA stack in front of me.
2. Because I was close, half of my intent was to get a decent recording, and the other half was to not worry about it, have a good time, and enjoy the show.
3. Either the zoom was being super sensitive and picking up a lot of my movements or it was being super sensitive and picking up a lot of wind noise or it was doing both. It was a bit of a windy night in a complete open-air amphitheater. Whatever the source, there is some extraneous noise present throughout the recording, though it seems to become less instrusive as the show goes on, so either I stopped moving as much, or it got less windy. Or both.
4. Also because I was close to the stage, there is occasionally some noise from some of the stage effects. The fog machines on the spider are super loud. That's all that noise at the beginning of Psycho Circus... and the pyro is really fucking loud.
Aside from all of that, it's pretty nice, clear, reasonably listenable recording. Enjoy at your own risk.
