Here's a short lived band from 2 members of The Replacements.
Bash & Pop were an alternative rock group formed in 1992, by Tommy Stinson following the breakup of The Replacements.
They released one album before disbanding in 1994.
Band Members:
Tommy Stinson (Guitar)
Steve Brantseg (Guitar)
Kevin Foley (Bass)
Steve Foley (Drums)
................................................
I added in some bonus material, tracks 19-23.
Chris Mars from The Replacements on Modern Rock Live 98.7 FM March 29, 1993.
This was on the same cassette and since it's related material to The Replacements, it's perfect filler.
They take some calls and talk with Chris. Chris also performs 2 songs live.
This will all fit nicely onto 1 disc.
Thanks to Rich for collecting this and sending over my way to share.

COMMENTS FROM DEADLISTS
The sound setup at this show was the first version of the
Wall of Sound. Sound mixing problems at the board during Promised
Land. According to reports from an eyewitness, this was the result of
half the speakers frying. Very brief splice during Looks Like Rain.
Complete Loose Lucy timing supercedes previous listing showing it cut
at 4:59. Splice in Playing In The Band at 8:38. Hard to tell how much
is missing although it can't be more than a few minutes and could be
only a few seconds. Splice in Truckin' at 6:23 (~6:20 on this source).
Could be a minute or two missing here.
The first Eyes has quite a bit of exploratory jamming without dropping
to that Dm riff (or whatever you want to call it), which is present to
some degree in all other known '73 versions of the song. Jerry plays
the chord on the final notes of the song before changing to China Doll.
By February 15, the change had been worked out.
The cut in Wave That Flag at 1:25 is missing a full chorus a after the
second verse. Before Sugar Magnolia, Bob says, " This one's our new
single, broke big as hell in Pittsburgh...that's the truth, too."
During Casey Jones, a blown amplifier is audible in the mix.
{Playing In The Band [3:05] > Jam [13:#29] > Playing In The Band
[2:25]}
The show has the first performances of Loose Lucy, Here Comes Sunshine,
They Love Each Other, Eyes Of The World, China Doll and Wave That Flag.
Tape flips following Looks Like Rain, Here Comes Sunshine, They Love
Each Other, and Ramble On Rose. The following song begins, cuts and is
restarted on the next side.
This is a solid and energetic show, with each song getting as full a
performance as possible. A slew of new songs performed as though they
had been performed for years, particularly songs that would grow into
staples of sets.

"YesSongs2"
Recorded by: unknown
Remastered by: TheTooleMan January, 2005
Art by TheTooleMan (with involuntary contributions by Roger Dean)
There are two recordings of this show: one contains the entire concert except the encore, but it has several cuts in the music, lousy sound quality, and terrible speed problems. You become sea-sick from the constant pitch changes. This may seem appropriate for a live recording of Tales from Topographic Oceans, but it isn't desirable.
The other recording is this one. The bad news is that it only includes the four tracks from the new Yes album of early 1974, but the good news is that the quality is very good. The tape appears to have been made up close to the stage, a good thing since music recorded from across the arena at Madison Square Garden echoes like a sewer pipe.
There is a little distortion in the original recording. At some points the bass overrides the rest of the sound, and in a few cases the audio is overdriven, either from the sound system or the recorder. None of this is too severe, and I minimized it as much as possible through the remastering process. There is also some tape hiss apparent in quieter parts of the music. Noise reduction was used sparingly to reduce this noise, but not enough to significantly lower the high-frequency response of the original tape.
This same recording was used for the vinyl double album bootleg "The Affirmatives," though the quality of the tape copy used for that pressing ran too fast and sounded like an AM radio tuned off-center. On that album, The Remembering was faded out before it ended. On this copy of the tape, it runs to the end of the song.
The taper missed part of the introduction to The Ancient. I substituted the lower-quality tape here, as it contained the full introduction.
Usually, I undersell my remasters as I don't like hype and prefer people to listen and draw their own conclusions. I like to tell you all the little wrinkles and imperfections in the source so you know I didn't overlook them or cause the sound to be worse than the original. In this case, and modesty aside, I will say that this remastered recording will blow your hair off.
Yes stopped playing all four sides of Tales after their Detroit show on February 28, 1974. Considering that this is the best recording of a complete live performance of the double album, I took the liberty of naming it as if it was the intended follow-up to their live triple disk vinyl album, "YesSongs."
I give you "YesSongs 2"

Afternoon show
35th Anniversary Edition
Lineage: Audience -> tape copy (at least one) -> CD -> EAC -> Sound Forge -> FLAC
This is the first of two shows Yes played on February 16, 1974. The shortened set doesn't hurt the performances at all. In fact, the boys should probably have played more afternoon shows, as they sound really great! Steve Howe really burns his guitar on the second encore, after the audience refused to let them go following Roundabout.
Audio quality is good. The remaster fixed a few gaps and cuts, some hum, and some crazy volume level changes.
Wish I'd been there for this one!

I have had the CD's of this show for over a decade, but never spent much time with it due to the truncated "Ritual" and missing "Roundabout." But the recording is good overall, and with a little pitch correction and equalization this dusty jewel shines.
JB torrented a different transfer of this show. Here is some of what he said about it:
"One of the overlooked gems of the tour, likely because it was recorded with less-than-stellar equipment on a single 120min cassette. (For those going back that far this means Low Bias)
There are some rough spots near the leader as the tape flips in RSOG and the whole thing cuts off shortly into Ritual, but everything else is there and clear enough for the tales aficionado to enjoy. Certainly the performance of the Remembering tonight will indeed make it worth your time."
I compared JB's 2008 torrented FLAC files with my audio CD's and decided to use the audio CD's for this edition. They may be from a lower generation tape, but I'm pretty sure they are not from the same line as his.
Enjoy!

Mastered for CD by TheTooleMan 12/2006
I was excited and honored when Fred contacted me with news that his friend Tom had an uncirculated recording of a Yes concert which was thought to have never been recorded. Would I like to have a shot at mastering it and presenting it to the world? YES!
Fred sent me a copy of the recording that was made on a stand-alone CD recorder. While the audio quality was good, I was disappointed to find that the original tapes have considerable speed irregularities, probably resulting from low batteries.
The original tapes were transferred again by Joey, who created a 24-bit 48 kHz digital version. I applied speed correction, EQ, and dynamics with Sound Forge and Vegas.
Considerable work went into correcting the random speed changes, and I could probably spend the rest of my life correcting every minor speed fluctuation in this recording. While I was able to fix most of the major problems, some wow and flutter remains. Roundabout suffers the most, and was very difficult to correct. I added an effect to the end of the song to characterize the exhausted batteries dying on the final note.
Now for the even more exciting news: Fred also recorded the same show. It will be seeing the light of day soon, after 30 years of storage. I am hopeful it will be of better quality overall, although this recording is quite listenable as it is now.

Here is a rarely-seen recording of Yes on their momentous Tales from Topographic Oceans tour. The recording is very rough and has a few lengthy gaps. It probably should be considered "for completists only." It is historically important, however, because it captured a complete Rick Wakeman solo; these solos were only performed in a couple of early shows from the tour. None of the other tracks in this recording is complete.
This is basically the unaltered transfer I received from a collector who has a number of rare recordings. I have only removed one digital click from the first track and broken up track four of the CD into three separate tracks, since it contained parts of three songs.
Tracks:
1. Firebird Suite (with gap) (3:18)
2. Siberian Khatru (with gap) (9:43)
3. And You And I (9:51)
4. Close to the Edge (7:36)

A Concert Dream: 1973-1974 Tales From Topographic Oceans Tour Compilation
"Side one was the commercial or easy-listening side of Topographic Oceans, side two was a much lighter, folky side of Yes, side three was electronic mayhem turning into acoustic simplicity, and side four was us trying to drive the whole thing home on a biggie." Steve Howe
I wish I was just a little bit older (well, not really but...) because I just missed the TFTO tour by only a couple years. So, instead of a Tales show, my first concert was Chicago in 1975. Thankfully, there were tapers around who documented this incredible music as it was played live. Huge thanks to all those who made listening and sharing these Tales performances possible all these decades later.

A word about compilations: This compilation is diguised as a concert. I put together these performances for my personal enjoyment, and share them for the same reason. There are many Yes compilations available; "Wondrous Stories," "Ultimate Yes: 35th Anniversary Collection" and "Word Is Live." This collection is not meant to replace, but complement, the official releases. Nothing beats the original tracks themselves.
I urge you to seek out the torrented performances contained herein (they’re all available out there). Thanks to the tapers, uploaders and all who share this great music. And, of course, thank you to Yes.

I've thought about uploading this show for a long time, but my problem was I had two sources and both had problems to overcome. I bit the bullet and redid the audio for both sources and then combined them to make the most complete version of this show. Source 1 had all the songs, but the Revealing and Ritual were incomplete and the sound is about a C-. Source 2 was about a B- in quality, but Close To The Edge and the Ancient were incomplete and Ritual and Roundabout were missing. In the end this is not a bad show, but I would caution the casual listener that this might not be their cup of tea.
This was the final show of the UK portion from the Tales From Topographic Oceans tour. This show runs about 132 minutes. Listen to the major screwup at the beginning of The Revealing.

Josh's amp wasn't working at the start hence the 2 attempts at Behind Closed Doors.
This one turned out pretty good. Boyles is a small place and I was very near the front so
the drums are very prominent a lot of the time.
For the old fashioned amongst us who still burn to disc I'd suggest splitting after Cruel Brunette.
Remember to support The Strypes - buy their records, go to their shows & buy their merch.
Enjoy the show.

This was the first live recording I ever taped, and for some reason chose
to stop the tape between every song. This, as you can imagine, caused many
editing problems. However, editing as such did allow the entire performance
to fit on one CD - at 80 minutes and 8 seconds (you'll need to do an overburn).
The tape has the usual glitches - annoying talking and other audience noise,
volume fluctuations, etc - but all in all a pretty good document of this
era of the late great Mr. Hartford.

The rest of my Recordings has been stolen along with many others while I was in the Hospital for Spinal Bacteria Meningitas. The good news there r about 75 recordings still here I would & Like them see the light & ears of others as my health is declinig. Plus it is good therapy for me to do this once again. I have not touched most of these tapes in 25 - 30 years. God Bless & Enjoy Jack

Show Notes: It was a Saturday, and I worked half a day in Toledo, Ohio. I had a 2 hour
ride that I did in an hour and a half. My friend Tyler had organized this mini festival that
featured Vince Hermann as the Master of Ceremonies. I was there by 2:00 rolling tape on a grassy field
on the grounds of the auto auction where Tyler worked. I was taping with attorney Chris from Indy. Tis was
10 years ago and I am trying to piece things together. I was gonna leave at 1:00 as I had to drive back
to Ohio, as I had to work Sunday morning. Chris talked me into staying for Lotus, who as we all know
always seem to nail down the 2:00 am slot at Festivals, Well they screwed around and did not start until
1:30 am. They ended I believe at 3:30. As i am cutting through the lot, I could hear my buddy Vince's voice.
I followed the sound to an RV with lighted palm trees as a decoration. A small cirbe had formed by the door
to the RV, so out came my mics and I set them in the middle of the circle. I think we ende at about 4:20!
I rolled into Toledo around 6:15 and grabbed a short nap before work. It was quite a long day. Got to tape
Vince, Railroad Earth, Ekoostik Hookah, Lotus, and a couple more. I am quote sure this has never been
heard uness you were one of about 20 people at the RV.
