The sound on the original version is not bad, just sounds a bit.. muffled, for lack of a better term. There is also
the issue of a bad mic, drum head, or something going on with one of Bonzo's drums. It is slightly noticeable at
times throughout the show, but is very noticeable during Moby Dick. Sounds like static in some parts of the show
and clicks in other parts of the show. I was not able to fix this issue. The show was also a bit bass heavy so I
brightened it up a bit and expanded the soundfield to let everything come through. This show was recorded just
4 days prior to their spectacular 2 day stand in Berkeley, Ca. and is near the end of the North American tour
for 71'. A week later the band would be in Hawaii and just a week after that they would be in Japan for their
strong run of 5 shows. Decent playing during this show and the tape is relatively cut free. On the reels that have
so far seen the light of day there is only 3 cuts and they are all relatively minor. The very beginning of
Immigrant Song is missing as is the very end of Moby Dick. The only other cut comes between Dazed and Stairway
during the between song banter. The rest of the show after Moby Dick is also not present. I smoothed out the cut
between Dazed and Stairway, as well as fading in the beginning of Immigrant Song. I also re-tracked the show to
give it a smoother flow.

The Lost Album series brings together all Beatles material never officially released to this date (August, 2020):
home demos, studio demos, unreleased/unpublished songs, studio sessions outtakes, home jams, rehearsals, improvs, alternate takes/demos, concerts, covers, auditions,
unpublished alternate mixes, studio monitor mixes, acetates, informal sessions,home tapes, live recordings, reunions,
appearances on tv/movies/radio/specials video/events/songs in interviews and everything else involving Beatles unofficial music audio.


This is the last update to The Lost Album vol V. Of course you've read the word "last" in the two previous volumes, but now we mean it, folks.
Actually we can't be blamed by the two volumes released after The Lost Album Two and a Half. When we finalized it, we really intended Two and a Half
to be the last interaction of the TLA series. But a massive number of requests for new releases could not be denied.
So The Last Lost Album was created and, as the name suggested, it was supposed to be the last one. However, once again we were struck with a stream
of fan requests for yet another release, this time with the argument that "we are now so close to getting every non-official Beatles release into
a single compilation series!". Then we were led to create Lost V, the only one intended to be eventually updated.
With it, we now have the complete BBC performances, all live performances with acceptable recording quality (only terrible recordings were left out),
additional demos, outtakes, remixes and the last batch of the Get Back Sessions deemed musically relevant (we left out tons of dialogues, instrument tuning,
interrupted practice takes, very sloppy rehearsal takes, i.e. we did not include the part of their recorded material that doesn`t necessarily
contribute to a pleasant musical experience) and a few other inserts.
With these new updates we now conclude the collection of all non-official Fab4 music releases, without margin for new requests or new volume releases.
Time to say goodbye with a wonderful feeling of mission accomplished, with all the warm reception the project as a whole has been enjoying.
Our most sincere thanks to everyone who collaborated either directly or indirectly.
All that thanks to 4 Liverpool folks who changed our World forever...

'The Lost Album' project was born from the idea of gathering for the first time all the Beatles unreleased compositions.
Also relevant variations of known Beatles compositions, improvs, jams, and cover versions performed by the group
that were never included in any studio album or single.
Many of these tracks come from demos, home recordings, rehearsals, etc, so the original quality is low.
In this album we try to improve the audio quality as much as possible, recovering audio drops, fixing technical problems,
speed correction, recording failures and so on.
Software tools have been used to clean, remaster and enhance the tracks, without ever losing the fidelity to their originals.
Short and unfinished songs were sewn into each other, with soft transitions, resulting in a more consistent track.
Overdubs and collages were all extracted from original Beatles material, from their period of activity (1958 to 1969).
