note : I think it's the same version as the one Paule share but there are different order
for the show and no DJ speech in the SDB/FM version.
plus I remove all the noise behind the music, it was cassette noise removing with adobe
audition + sony noise reduction plug-in.
It was not so easy to remaster the AUD recording, but I think it's ok anyway.
I hope you will like my work.
enjoy.

My second U2 recording from this stadium, the first being the 360 tour
on June 29, 2011. U2 put on an energetic show, although The Edge seemed
to have guitar issues shortly during an early part of the set. The
weather cooperated with not a drop of rain. Bono and the guys still put
on tight, amazing show. Well worth catching it if you can. Feel free to
share elsewhere. Just don’t sell. Enjoy, and let me know what you think
of the sound quality!

MoonMTX - February 2023
SBD Source came down the pike, so I found a 48khz Audience recording at SHNFLAC to marry with it. Both sources have their issues, but the product is well worth it imo. (Some intermittent static in the AUD source, and a whole 3min chunk of SBD at the end of "Temporary Saint" had to be discarded for major irrecoverable glitching) Also had to excise a small piece of "Schoolgirl" SBD for the same reason.
I spent no fewer than 20hrs this week syncing up these two waveforms in Audacity. Hiccups and missing sections of AUD had to be identified and corrected. every few minutes there was drift in the AUD that required tempo adjustments to keep the signals clean and aligned.
Interestingly, the AUD source had the cleaner spectrogram, but the SBD contributes more DR per the initial report. In the end, we have a robust combo of SBD/AUD. Woody's Bass is absolutely thunderous. Matt Abts drumming is clear as a bell and on point as always. The OG Trio puts on a sweaty 2hr set that is not to be missed. Get Behind the Mule!!

Superb audience master recording given a fresh transfer. This is XTC's first and only performance in The Big Easy and by all accounts it was a gem of a show. Also check out opener, RZA, transferred for the very first time from the same tapes.
Classic stuff and by far my favorite XTC live recording.
Enjoy!

Some comments from the taper Silvertrain:
Hey U2 friends …here is the complete recording of the by far BEST of the four U2 shows in Barcelona.
My God !!! what a set list: Spanish Eyes debut. Mr Javier Bardem and Mrs Penelope Cruz invited to dance on the small stage. Please forgive a small cut after People have the power and Miracle of Joey Ramone full song (I missed Bono vocal solo intro, Edirol stopped for a minute) …...strong reason for it…..Bono walking passing by near us….everybody really excited so hope you’ll understand.
Heartly dedicated to all of us tapers who try to do our best at every show we attend to share our recordings with you all. let's keep the music alive. Hope you enjoy the show. And now…rock on

Show notes: There's a few periods in R.E.M.'s live career where they hit a hot streak and produced some incredible shows - August 1985 comes to mind in the first instance, but July 1983 isn't far behind. 'Murmur' had been out for a few months by this point, word of mouth was spreading quickly, and clubs that had been sparsely attended in 1982 were now packed with fans screaming out requests for songs. There's some brilliant recordings from this month, including the JEMS recording from Detroit the week prior to this, and the FM broadcasts of Toronto and Boston that were commercially released (well Boston mysteriously appeared on Spotify at least), but this one is up there with them. The band had played Toad's Place twice in 1982, the first time supporting The Ventures, and the second time their own headlining show, and this show had far more audience enthusiasm than the other ones (random guy mid show - 'you're fucking great!!!'). Michael was in an extremely chatty mood, and I can't work out whether he swapped t-shirts with an audience member mid song, or was talking about a time he did it on stage, but there's a lot of t-shirt discussion at one point. There's some classic banter here (Bill before Eight Miles High - 'oh fuck off Michael!'), a crowd that is truly up for it, and a great setlist. Eight Miles High was an audience request, and it sounds like the person making the request got up on stage and sang as well. Also of note is the first ever performance of 'Time After Time', only played one other time that week then dropped until 1984. If you listen to the opening bars of the song here, they sound identical to 'Find The River' which was still 9 years away from release at the time!
Recording Notes: This is an excellent audience recording. If you listen on headphones you will hear some audience chatter every so often of two friends discussing the band, which for once is actually quite interesting (eg. during 7 Chinese Bros. someone says 'you ever heard this song before?', and they start discussing Stipe's t-shirt, which seemed to be Andy Warhol related), and it's quite infrequent. I gave it an azimuth adjustment in iZotope, but it's not a huge upgrade to Alex's original recording. I experimented with some EQ adjustments but too much hiss came through, so left it untouched.
Torrent notes: Misterhank had uploaded a version of this show to Dime from his cassette in 2009 (not sure if it was this recording), but then in 2011 Alex Butterfield uploaded his master recording, which was a massive upgrade. It dropped off the tracker in 2013 and hasn't been seen since. This is one of the premier 1983 shows and deserves another go on Dime. Enjoy!
From Alex's original torrent: "The Alex Butterfield Archive--begun in 1978--covers punk rock, garage rock, pop, rockabilly, new wave, rock 'n' roll, jazz, reggae, blues, indie, folk music and more. The Archive includes bands local to Connecticut as well as national and international acts."

In anticipation for The Cure's upcoming 2023 North American tour, and the first time I will ever get to see my second favourite band live (both nights in montreal), I'd like to share my all time favourite cure show. My love of the cure was passed down by my dad, who has seen them constantly since 1989 and is one of his favourite bands. Whenever I talk about what the cure is like live, he always singles out certain shows as being truly exceptional. Sometimes it's the 1992 A Forest they played at skydome in toronto, but most of the time it's this 1996 show in particular that he raves about all the time. The band played an absolutely huge 36 song set from every angle of their discography, so the show didn't focus on all WMS material, (although when they did, they ran with it like the absolutely huge Want they played to open the show). What makes this show is the last encore, and more specifically, the A Forest > Forever, which my dad has always said was one of the greatest live moments he's ever seen to this day. Upon hearing this years back I did everything I could to try to find a recording of that exact moment which I then scoured the internet to find this mediocre recording of this show with no info file or information whatsoever. I listen to the A Forest > Forever regularly now, because of how good it is. Unlike other versions of the song, the band jams a middle section in between the two songs while Robert ad-libs some of the best lyrics I've ever heard to come of Forever, I haven't heard the band do this in any other recording on the 1996 tour, let alone any version of the song ever. The band absolutely kills this version too, injecting the two tracks with as much energy as they ever had (and to be frank, the whole show has this energy too, check out the version of The Kiss). It's not the greatest recording by any stretch of imagination, but the performance is too good that it makes up for it and I'm able to completely look past it. This show is an all-timer and a must have for any cure fan.
