A new best-of collection has arrived, compiling the legendary San Francisco Fillmore West performances from Led Zeppelin's 1969 US tour! Combining multiple existing soundboard recordings, primarily from various sources, this collection includes three performances (four stages) from January 11th, April 24th, and April 27th, 1969. While these are all collector's favorite live performances, this new edition features all performances in the latest upgraded sound quality with original AI stereo demix. The previously mono or unbalanced soundboard recordings have been remixed into stereo remasters from multi-track recordings separated by demixing. This is a completely new level of upgraded sound quality. The "First Set" 2CD set includes the January 11, 1969 and April 24, 1969 performances. The January 11, 1969 performance has been converted to true stereo from a mono soundboard recording unearthed in the 1990s, reproducing previously hidden vocals and instruments with greater clarity. The opening and "Train" from the following April 24 performance are audience recordings previously attributed to the January 9 performance, and although the sound quality is inferior, they are included as valuable additional recordings. Disc 2 features the April 24 performance from a superb quality soundboard recording that was previously considered to be from the soundboard, and the original raw, low-generation sound is now recorded with a more three-dimensional stereo balance. The difference compared to previous versions is clear. The "Second Set" 2CD set includes the first and second stages of the April 27, 1969 performance. While long considered a standard soundboard recording, it suffered from partial omissions, and was almost completely completed with audience recordings to fill in the gaps. This new version features a stereo remaster, newly remixed from demixed multi-track audio, resulting in a significantly improved and superb quality. This latest compilation brings you the historical live recording of the 1969 San Francisco Fillmore West performance, capturing the thrilling and unrestrained improvisations of early Led Zeppelin in a truly unique way. The impact of that performance is palpable!
