^ = with Daniel Lapp

This was my 7th time seeing 54-40 (I think).  Tom Wilson's latest project, Lee Harvey Osmond, opened up.  I don't think it was 100% sold out, but the venue was well sold.

The band came out in front of a closed curtain to play the first 3 songs semi-unplugged.  Dave was on piano, guest Daniel Lapp on violin, Neil on acoustic guitar, Brad on bass and Matt on a mini drum kit.  The whole crowd was singing along nicely.  Daniel would join them again later in the set on trumpet and more violin.  Seeing 54-40 with trumpet again reminded me of seeing them years ago with Phil.  Their new album, which was for sale at this show 2 months ahead of the release date, is all re-worked versions of their hits with a new song or two.  So the beginning of this show was a little taste of what's to come.  Neil threw two of the CDs into the crowd.

It would be nice to hear some of their lesser known material, but the re-worked stuff was really good.  After Keep On Walking, Daniel did a violin solo.
