This should be an upgrade for most of you. This was the only CSE show that I was ever able to trade for back in the '90s. Someone posted the entire run of 1992 CSE shows on Dime a few years ago, most of them with unknown lineage. This recording sounds like it might even be a different recording than the Dime version, certainly a little clearer (and longer) - check the sample.
And since this will be my only Chris Squire show to up, I just want to say a few things about Chris. First off, I miss you very much. You and John Entwistle were my two bass guitar gods growing up and I have so much respect for your unique playing style. The other thing I love about Chris is he really knew what the Yes fans wanted and always tried to deliver. For instance, it was Chris who released the 7 full-length shows a few years ago that were recorded in 1973 to comprise the brilliant Yessongs LP. Its really a shame that more bands don't follow suite to release pristine live recordings made during the band's heydey. Thanks so much, Chris. You will always be missed.
I also want to say how much I'm impressed by Billy Sherwood. Billy was pretty much unknown to the fan base when this tour occurred, but Billy has been hanging out with Chris for over 20 years since then and is an amazing talent in his own right. He was the only person that was worthy of picking up Chris' bass after Chris passed.
Let's hope the masters of this 1992 tour surface someday, in the meantime, we will have to settle for small upgrades, such as this. Long live the Fish !!
