*Various tracks were shortened using CD Wave Editor. Some were combined using WAV Joiner Trial Edition. Then, Audacity was used to fade in and fade out on certain tracks, to normalize the sound for all tracks, and to add silence at the end of some tracks.

This is the ninth volume in a series which looks back at Jackson Browne's commercial albums by incorporating on-stage stories and radio interviews concerning the albums and their songs with selected live performances of each song in the original order from the album. In addition to the initial trip through the album, this volume includes alternate performances of several of the songs.
World In Motion peaked at #45 on Billboard's Top Pop Album Chart. The title track reached #4 on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart. "Chasing You Into the Light" reached #9 on the Album Rock Tracks chart, and "Anything Can Happen" reached #23 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: The intent of these volumes is to introduce you to Jackson Browne's albums or to renew your appreciation of them. All of Jackson's albums are still available, and hopefully if you don't have all of them or need new copies, this will encourage you to purchase them. In addition to the initial trip through the album, this volume includes alternate performances of several of the songs. I'm Alive was Jackson Browne's tenth album and was released October 11, 1993, on Elektra Records. The album was RIAA Certified Gold on December 12, 1995. I'm Alive reached #40 on the album chart and stayed on the chart for 21 weeks. The title track, "I'm Alive", reached #18 on the Album Rock Tracks chart and #28 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song "Too Many Angels" included backing vocals by Jennifer Warnes, Valerie Carter, Doug Haywood, Katia Cardinal and Ryan Browne while the song "All Good Things" included backing vocals by David Crosby and Don Henley. CD singles released from the album were the reggae- flavored "Everywhere I Go" and "Sky Blue and Black" which music critic Dave Marsh called "one of the most beautiful love songs Browne -- or anyone else -- has ever written." The version of "Take This Rain" included here is the only known live performance of the song by Jackson and his band.
