Journey 2006-07-13 Chastain Park Amphitheatre Atlanta, GA

Journey - Jul.13.2006 - Atlanta, GA - Chastain Park Amphitheatre
(Torrent ver.2 (now with individual tracks)

Here for your enjoyment is a 2006 Journey concert. This is one of the first shows to feature Jeff Scott Soto on lead vocals. The concert was energetic and Journey sounded great. Their vocal harmonies were especially good. Jeff is a good replacement for for Steve Augieri and gives Journey a fresh new sound. His stage presence was excellent and he seemed to fit right in with the band. He was also very well received by the crowd at Chastain, which is usually somewhat indifferent. In fact the crowd was uncharacteristcally energetic and attentive. And they stood (and danced and sang along) for the entire concert. It was a fun night and one I'll remember for a while.

The recording was made from the audience on a Sony PCM-M1 in LP mode. The mics were AT831-B mounted high on a baseball cap. The seat was dead center about ten rows back from the soundboard (row L). From what I've heard of the recording, it came out pretty good and with no major flaws.

The files here are FLAC (this time as individual tracks). Also included are cuesheets (with CD-Text) for burning with Burrrn or EAC. Be sure to convert to WAV first.
