Mastering, EQ or any other fiddling whatsoever has NOT been applied, this is the raw transfer from the tape.

Comments:
I have no idea how much this particular recording has been circulating so far, and in what quality/generation...
But this is my transfer from a tape that I got in a trade many years ago.
The sound is a bit rough, but that's nothing unusal for audience recording in the 70's.
Thanks goes to the original taper, whoever you are.

Enjoy!

08 Litte Wing
09 Third Stone From The Sun

Here is the 2nd night of my '83 SRV Master Tapes, this one from Norman, OK and once again opening for the Moody Blues.
A very different set list than the night before in Dallas, we get 4 different songs on this night. Dropping "Texas Flood", "Lenny", "Rude Mood" and "Testify" from the night before, we are treated to wonderful renditions of Elmore Jame's "The Sky Is Crying" and 2 additional Hendrix covers along with "Tell Me".
I was fortunate to see SRV on a number of occasions and this was the only opprotunity I got to see him perform "Litte Wing" and "Third Stone From The Sun", I must say it was a real treat.

It was a bit of a tough show to tape being so close but the advantage was it came out excellent, much cleaner and up front than the Dallas recording.  If anything the vocals are just slightly buried due to my recording location and the only eq'ing done was to bring them a bit forward and cut the bass just a tad.  Everything else remains untouched...

Enjoy...

Notes: Bought this one on eBay, the seller faithfully reporting that it as lo gen (which I'm very happy to accept).

Transferred by direct wire from VHS to DVD recorder, then recompiled using Ulead Movie Factory.

It’s recorded from stage leftnot too far back in the crowd.  It's quite wobbly and the video is very bright, tending towards bleaching (so fairly typical hand VHS for the time).  But the sound is very good.

06. Going Home

Audience recording, taken from bootleg LP and completly remastered.
The LP sound did suffers of a huge noise on backgroud, distortions, instable volume
and a lot of clicks, crackes and pops. I did rate that, before remastering process,
like poor sound quality. The remastering process was very careful to remove a maximum
of noise and crackes and a minimum of recorded sound and try to recover the original
quality of that rare record. After all, I can say the sound quality became very good.

The original cover was "remastered" too. On LP it is a very poor black and white photocopy
pasted only at the front of a plain and white sleeve.
A new cover was made with the exactly original design, recovering the colours and reformating
to a cd size. The back cover and booklet are new creations.
Hope you all enjoy that.

king regards from Brazil...

Comments: I love The Egg! Some may be familiar with some of my other recordings, back in 2007 I made one of the best audience recordings I have ever heard at this venue. Unfortunately, that band is no longer allowed on the sharing sites. You can imagine how psyched I was Yes was playing this great venue. It's small, it holds 982 people I think. It was probably only about 90% filled. But the acoustics are fantastic. I was sitting in the sweet spot, just a few seats over from where I was back in 2007. This was the second show of the tour, and the first full length show. I was a bit worried after reading the reviews from the first show, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was a good performance, with only a couple of early tour miscues. (The middle of South Side...I thought Geoff did a great job with it, but Alan seemed to be the one having the trouble, and of course Five Percent). There's also a buzzing noise on some of the keyboard sections of Heart Of The Sunrise, but that was present in the theater, and not an artifact of the recording. I was somewhat surprised at the inclusion of the two new songs. Not so much that they played new material, more about the song selection. They released "Believe Again" as a single, and it's available to stream on Spotify, so that's one a lot of fans may have heard, but they picked two other songs instead. They seemed to go over well, and they were well played.

The recording came out great I think. But that's what I expected at this venue. I was using a new battery box this evening, after having some trouble with my old one the last time out. It passed the test pretty well I think. This was a fun show, and this is a nice document of the evening.

Artwork is included in the torrent. The photos are from the actual show.

PLEASE DO NOT USE AS A SOURCE FOR A MATRIX.
Please share this recording in unaltered lossless quality. If you need to remaster, or something, let me know, and I can provide the undedited raw master (without EQ/volume tweaks) for you to use.

During Howe acoustic guitar segments some whistles and yells can be heard in both Relayerman and Bakeman recordings but not heard well in Alternate Atlanta.

Rick Wakeman transitions from his solo to a segment of And You And I, accompanied by Jon on vocals.
Whitefish includes segments from: Tempus Fugit, On The Silent Wings Of Freedom and Soundchaser.
Track x01 Firebird Suite contains only part two of the Firebird Suite.
Set One fits on one CD if Track X01 is used instead of Track 101.
Set Two fits on one CD if Tracks 201, 202 and 210 are omitted.

Relayerman Notes about the show:
1) The weak keyboards after Firebird are because Steve's amp wasn't working (he couldn't start Siberian Khatru as usual) so Rick decided to do some keyboard work. Normally Steve would have come right in after Firebird finished. Rick's keys just weren't up in the mix.
2) The sound men got the stage sound right around the last half of Siberian Khatru as you might notice a slight change in  volume. That wasn't me, that was the sound guys.
3) Chris' bass had problems in Heart Of The Sunrise so you'll notice it's absent during some parts. Rick took up the slack some with keyboards.
4) Laughing at beginning of The Fish is due to Chris 'straightening his cuffs', kind of like saying 'ok, now I'm ready'.
5) Near the end of Roundabout there is a whistle. A young guy jumped up on stage and took off his shirt and started dancing. This swiftly came to a halt as some burly stage hands ran after him in front of the band. It was funny. Enjoy!

This is the second transfer I've done of my master tapes, I was never too happy with the first transfer and felt it was time to re-visit this one with better equipment, software and mastering knowledge.

Recorded about 3/4 of the way back in the lower balcony a half dozen or os rows up from the floor. I'm very pleased with the results of this transfer and it should be considered a material upgrade over what is currently circulating.

Not too much to say about the show itself, typical 90215 show, solid performances of the new material and the old material sounds great.

Seamless transfer with no music missing, splices or cuts.

Thanks to E from JEMS for the loan of the DR-1 and his continued selflessness in doing whatever is necessary to bring quality recordings to the dime community.

Download includes custom covers.

Show comments:
Another one of Marco's recordings.
Great show and recording from the end of the 90125 tour. Funny how the set list got longer as the tour progressed, usually it's
the other way around. I didn't go to this show as i saw the show in San Diego in March. They added Our Song and Gimme Some Lovin'.
Unfortunately the last song Lovin' is cut short but still a very nice show.

Enjoy!
Brian.
