Got this copy again from a well known german trader in the early 90s
This is what the ex "David Dunningtons" site "Guide To Genesis Radio Shows" has to say about this:-
Somebody who worked for the HR (Hessischer Rundfunk), responsible for the light, said, that there were cameras.
HR was/still is a tiny broadcast company and so they would have need a special recording car or something like
that.
However, Genesis had to replace a band, and it seems like a member of the band "Gentle Giant" got sick, so
Genesis were choosed then.
Some other notes
-The special was called "The Sound of Britain" without "Festival"
-Other Bands would
-Steeleye Span
-Amazing Blondell
-The Early Music Quartett(with instruments of the 16th century) -The First Batallion of the Queens own
Highlanders (playing with bagpipes)
-Gentle Giant
-Genesis played pretty loud, so many people left the audience.
-Above the stage was written "The artists are using their own audio equipment",which would explain why many
people left.
The quality is V-Good
I do not claim this version is better or worse than any other version in circulation
Many many thanks to the trader for sending me a copy & the person who recorded the show
As Usual Please dont convert to mp3 ( only for your own use if you do ) Please Keep all the info files
md5 etc in the folder so that other collectors know which version this is etc and most of all
DO NOT SELL.
