Taking place three months before the LP release that would launch Tom Petty &The Heartbreakers into the top tier of popularity, this show has circulated for years from a flat, murky sounding soundboard.
IMHO this version, out of my own archives, is a nice upgrade over the multiple circulating versions.
The most common version(s) of this show suffer from a major lack of detail, sounding flat, murky with an extremely narrow stereo spectrum.

It has of course been pitch adjusted and does not suffer from the same murkiness and lack of detail, the top end is in place but, that does create a very slight touch of hiss which I have chosen to not knock down so to not affect other frequencies. Every positive creates a negative when mastering, if you change A then B is affected. The bottom has good punch to it and anchors the whole show nicely. It's not a perfect soundboard but I believe you will find a very enjoyable listening experience.

The show itself is rather loose with Petty commenting they are all drunk, if indeed that is the case, I wouldn't say it is noticeable. At least not in the mid-70's drunk Clapton way but the show is loose which in my book makes this an outstanding performance.

I hope you enjoy this new upgraded glimpse into a classic Petty era.
