Notes:

The San Jose ALD is the only circulating board from 2001 and one of the very few circulating Dylan soundboards from after the release of Love & Theft. While the actual mix of the ALD was quite good there was an almost unlistenable amount of hiss (probably from a poor FM signal rather than tape noise). "User00" has done an amazing job dehissing the original tape with minimal damage to the fidelity of the recording. I have mixed this version together with an audience recording to create what I think is one of the best sounding documents of this year of the NET. There are a few little oddities due to the nature of the source; a bit of hiss is still present and some very mild artefacting can be heard if you strain your ears but in both cases the AUD source should cover most of them up. During Like A Rolling Stone Bob's vocal mic is mixed to low on the ALD and this is reflected in the mix and improves gradually over the next few tracks. I've also done a cross fade between Leopard-Skin Pillbox Hat and Things Have Changed to skip over the encore.

  1. Thanks so much Plumdusty, this is a great gift! I've had the LB-0443 version for a while, and didn't like it nearly as much as this new dehissed ALD. Especially enjoying it because I love the post-9/11 2001 shows, and also because it's one of only 55 or so times Dylan has played "Standing In The Doorway." Thanks again (and to boiled guts of birds)!!
