TS Notes: I was in early for check and patched out of console on stage, like many other times, but at some point during soundcheck, unknown to me, the sound-man pulled the bass out of my mix and additionally my levels dropped to a barely legible level. I proceeded to record the performance with this changed mix as I didn’t realize it had been changed. I sent this disastrous master to John Ammons who’s co-worker Ron Guenche proceeded to raise the level +24db. This recording was then sent to Kyle Porter who performed some audio magic to much delight. -Tom Stone
KP Notes: I used Ozone 6 CD mastering suite. Pushed the bass and highs on the parametric eq. Then in the compression page boosted the output of the bass spectrum via comp gain output. Then pushed the bass using the exciter output.
High were gone too. but I only used the parametric eq on that section. Wham bam somebody get me a cheeseburger. -Kyle Porter
