Led Zeppelin 1969-03-15 Afternoon Show, Teen Club, Egegaard Skole, Gladsaxe, Copenhagen, Denmark(2gen>DAT)

These were treed years ago by the great RFD. I do not know the number of DAT copies in the lineage.
I do know there is no CDR copy in the lineage of my discs, think that 3/15/69 DAT came from the taper &
know that the bootleg company EVSD stole this from the tree.
The files were extracted from Kodak Gold CDRs with EAC V0.95 beta 4 & converted
with FLAC Frontend 113b at Level 8.

Disc 1 Track 1-5:
Teen Club, Egegaard Skole, Gladsaxe, Denmark
March 15, 1969 (Afternoon show)

Review:
An incredibly powerful concert! The band is really ripping through everything tonight. As Long
As I Have You is a shortened, compact and brutal version. Dazed And Confused is missing here, only
the second time known (so far, see February 1st, 1969 for the other). Page checks the guitar-tuning
with a bossa nova riff, quickly followed by the other two instruments for a few seconds, Plant says:
"We'll try to carry on despite Che Guevara" much to everyone's amusement. You Shook Me and Communication
Breakdown are massive as well.
-Argenteum Astrum

Disc 1 Track 6-9:
Brondby Pop-Club, Norregard Hallen, Brondby, Denmark
March 15, 1969 (Evening show)

Review:
Another excellent and raw, powerful show in front of a small crowd. Robert's voice is a little sore but
he makes up for it in passion and the band sounds very primitive, raw and powerful. The extended Dazed
And Confused is the perfect example.
-Argenteum Astrum

Disc 2:
Super Session, Tivolis Koncertsal, Copenhagen, Denmark
March 16, 1969 (Afternoon show)

No Review for this show (but I added concert photos and AD to comp you)

This show is from the collection of Eddie7679 who was active taping and collecting 1984-1989. He was gracious enough to lend his collection to Smores who is working to get many of the old shows transferred and uploaded for others to enjoy. Some of these shows are completely uncirculated while some of the circulated ones are getting a fresh transfer from the master tapes.

Yes 1980-12-06 Apollo Theatre Manchester, UK

By  request here is another 1980 Yes show from the Drama tour. The tour is almost over and it has taken its toll on Trevor Horn's voice. Quite evident in this recording. I got this in a trade some time ago on tape. The first 2 tracks are a bit muffled probably due to the taper's mics being hidden, but I'm guessing. I might have been able to brighten them up a bit, but there is already some hiss so brightening may have introduced even more. Hence, I chose not to try.

Randy Rhoads 1978-07-05 "A Private Lesson With Randy Rhoads" Musonia School of Music; North Hollywood, CA

Randy Rhoads - July 5, 1978 ("A Private Lesson With Randy Rhoads" - 63 Minutes Long) Randy's (Delores) mother's music school; Musonia School of Music; North Hollywood, California, U.S.A.

This recording comes from a March 2003 download (thanks to Greg Dambek on STG, THX!!!), but these are not those original files.
I'm always looking for upgrades, alternate sources, & uncirculated Randy Rhoads recordings.
If you have any of those, please share or get them to someone that can do so.
Enjoy!!

Set List:

Track01 = 14:49
Track02 = 12:32
Track03 = 19:59
Track04 = 15:09

ORIGINAL NOTES:
This is a rare recording of a private guitar lesson with the late, great Randy Rhoads instructing.
Not to be confused with the Guitar seminar from Greensburg, PA. This is a private, one-on-one lesson recording of just Randy and a student. Most likely recorded by the student at Randy's mother's music school, Musonia.
The date given on the source tape is July 5, 1978.
No setlist available due to the nature of the recording. Runtime is approximately 62 minutes, and it is broken down into 4 tracks.
Slight hiss reduction performed in CoolEdit Pro. Quality is a bit rough, target audience would most likely be guitarists interested in hearing Randy showcase his style. Die-hard Rhoads fans & completists may also apply, but there may not be much here for the casual listener. There is still some tape hiss that is is more intrusive in some areas than others, but it is felt that the rarity of this recording warrants it's release.

Notes:

This recording has been circulating since '88 however this version is a new master cassette
transfer from my original analog master tape (Feb. 2010).

My first time seeing L.A. Guns as they were opening for Iron Maiden. GNR was originally the opening
act but they cancelled a few days prior to the show and were replaced with L.A. Guns. Don't know them
that well so i'm not sure if the track listing and band is correct, corrections welcome.

This is upload #28 from my "Master tape Collection". I'm going to start uploading shows from
my 600+ masters which includes uncirculated recordings from 2003 thru the present. I've taped just
about every show i've gone too since 1986 so you can imagine i have a lot of masters to share. Most
of my recordings from 1986-2002 have been circulating as i used to do a lot of trading back in the day.
All uploads however will be new master tape transfers directly from the master tape to CD.

Enjoy!
Brian.

No EQ'ing.

Dan Lampinski recorded over 100 concerts in the Providence/Boston area, mostly between 1974 and 1978. His earliest recordings were made with an internal microphone deck, and though they are somewhat lo-fi compared to his later work, some very great moments in rock history were captured for posterity. In late 1974 he bought a Sony TC-152SD tape recorder, a Sony ECM-99 stereo microphone, and began using Maxell cassettes. He was also fortunate enough to have a friend who provided excellent taping seats for many shows, resulting in high quality recordings. In 1977, he switched over to a Nakamichi 550 tape recorder, two Nakamichi CM-300 microphones, and continued using Maxell cassettes.

He recorded many of the major 70's bands: Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, ELP, Kiss, Black Sabbath, The Who, Al Stewart, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Bruce Springsteen, Supertramp, Jean-Luc Ponty, Moody Blues, Neil Young, The Faces, Rush, Rick Wakeman, Kansas, as well as several "under the radar" acts.

Since Dan never traded copies of his recordings, they are all essentially uncirculated. Some copies were made for friends, but these releases are the first time most of these recordings have ever seen the light of day, and are direct from his master cassettes. No EQ'ing has been done to any of the transfers. Feel free to EQ, matrix, patch, etc and re-post if you like, just give Dan credit for the original recording.

Dan was very meticulous about taking good care of his tapes and is very pleased that these recordings will now circulate among the trading community. Please honour his kindness and generosity by sharing these recordings freely.

Yngwie Malmsteen 1982-xx-xx - Spotlight Demo Tape

"In 1982, a young Swede named Yngwie Malmsteen sent a demo tape to Mike Varney, who had a column in Guitar Player magazine and also owned a record label called Shrapnel Music. The rest, as they say, is history."

This is the demo tape Yngwie sent to Mike Varney for inclusion in his Guitar Player Magazine "Spotlight" column. He was 19 when he sent it, it appeared in the February 1983 issue.

This recording's source was my low generation cassette (Maxell XLII)... I captured it using a fairly crappy Roxio capture device, removed a layer of tape hiss with Audacity, and tracked it with CD WAV... At some point I may get a much nicer interface; and when that happens I may attempt to pull a better capure from my cassette... Meanwhile I haven't seen this on any trackers, please enjoy it for what it is  :-)

My cassette was labeled like so:

Black Star
Now Your Ships Are Burned
Electric Duet
Plague in Lucifer's Mind
Far Beyond the Sun
Jammin' the Night Away
Merlin's Castle
Air
Soldier Without Faith
Improvised Solo
Dead Sun
