Cinderella/Winger/Kix.
Great show and headlining set from the Long Cold Winter tour. Don't see a lot of headlining shows from this tour and they
never play much longer that 75-80 minutes usually but we got a great 105m set.

Enjoy!
Brian.

Complete radio braodcasts, which left out the first two songs!

Great gig played sometime around 2 o' clock in the afternoon. They really "kicked ass" and were much better
than RATT, which were performing after them. For me, they were the highlight of the festival after DEEP PURPLE
and DIO. Much more entertaining than METALLICA at that time and Night Songs still is a great debut album.

The "Monsters of Rock" festival line up was:

Deep Purple
Dio
Metallica
Ratt
Cinderella
Helloween
(Pretty Maids had to cancel because of technical problems with their equipment)

Show notes:

The vocals of the second verse of “Talk Is Cheap” sound unusual, like he almost can’t get all the words out at the end—hard to tell if it’s all Tom or not.

Jeff’s guitar solo before “Night Songs” might be the longest I’ve ever heard from him.

Tokyo Blues and Rock Me Baby  are really fun and loose. A real highlight of the show. It’s great hearing Tom sing to his own lead playing.

Tom seems to sing part of Mystery Train during the slide solo, at least I can make out the “comin’ round the bend” lyric

Fallin’ Apart at the Seams sounds slower than how they would play going forward. The drums sound pretty lifeless. Tom’s slide solo in Fallin’ Apart at the Seams is just like the album, but Jeff’s solo is totally different—sounds kind of improvised. Jeff also plays a strange lead part at the end of the song that sounds kind of out of place. Interesting to hear this early version

Drum solo is really uneventful, almost like Fred doesn’t have a planned solo. The drum part on Gypsy Road sounds different from on the album. The solo is a little different, but the basic structure and flow is there. Tom gets a bit off with the vocal lines during the breakdown part
