THE ROLLING STONES

10th June - 26th July 1978

North American Tour.

In this series we concentrate on audience recordings, leaving out the rehearsals, and of course the official recordings. KBFH-recordings will only be used for merges or matrix recordings.

Thanks to the people who recorded and shared these shows and also to my accomplices nzb and BlueTurns2Grey who gave me the benefit of their advice and support.

BlueTurns2Grey will be posting his video reworks simultaneously.

Line-up: MJ (voc, gtr, p)/KR (gtr, voc)/RW (gtr, pedal steel)/BW (bass)/CW (dr)/STU (p)/Ian McLagan (p, org, bvoc)

The next show in line should have been Passaic's from June 14, 1978, but since it was broadcast on the radio, many versions already exist. The most interesting is the one posted by Captain Acid a few months ago: ‘Garden State Seventy Eight’ (Acid Project 107):

For the Washington show I found only one version : « Far Away Washington » (VGP 081).

The recording is now de-clicked, balanced (+10 to +20 % to the right channel), the azimuth and the phase are adjusted.

As usual all the infos are coming from Nico Zentgraf's Rolling Stones Complete Works Database: http://www.nzentgraf.de/books/zent.htm
