mastering/show notes (combined):
this show, I believe, is somewhat of a 'rarity', as it was obtained from my first "Black Sabbath" connection (the source for that Wichita '71 upload months back) Ron M. he had health problems, and passed away 15 years or so ago (RIP)...
his handwriting was *very* distinctive, so it's easy to remember this came from him (and he lived in WI as well). in addition, this date ***is not even listed on setlist.fm***, however, I believe it to be 100% accurate, as they were in MN the night before, and another WI date the night after. they may have been opening for Ozzy at this point (as he was a huge Sabb fan), but I'm not 100% positive on this, as I didn't check Ozzy dates, nor do I have an Ozzy show that matches this one.
all that said, I find it hard to believe that this was recorded with handheld Walkman style deck with internal mics. he was kind enough to transfer his master to an XL-IIS tape for me (again, like the Wichita Sabbath show). so the fidelity on this is about as good as it's gonna get.
Team Alaska rocked out to it twice in a row last night
it most likely had one of those auto-limiter things, which you hear flare up occasionally, and it also had numerous cuts *between the songs* (NOT during the music), another guess is that he was trying to save tape space/batteries. all of those were spliced as best I could, you'll surely hear 1 or 2 where the crowd noise didn't match up.
in addition, there was a spot around the 6-7min mark where the right channel completely disappeared for about 10 seconds. I attempted my first "patch the left channel into the right" job, and I gotta say, while it's tedious (making sure both sides of the patch were down to the nearest 0.001), gotta say it's not noticeable, at all.
considering it's over 34 years old though, for those *real Dokken* fans out there, it might be a real treat.
all hail dandrew, he breaks the chains to get this shit to you in the quickest order. I throw this shit at him, and it usually sticks!
Fuck Hagar is aka Mr. Scary, which should be self-explanatory
