Editing Notes:
-- Software used - Adobe Audition, Wavelab, iZotope Ozone and Waves Z-Noise
-- The transfer was made at 24/96 and then downsampled and dithered (MBIT+)
-- The major changes made were a significant number of level adjustments in
the first track and eq to all tracks.  Other than that, it was a question
of repairing as many of the myriad relatively minor flaws of this very old
recording, as best as was possible,  Also a few other small level changes
have been made.  Finally some noise reduction was applied throughout.

Notes:
-- We verified that the transfer for this release was from a first generation
MAR copy. According to Barry Glassberg, "Lou [Tambakos] got the tape from
Marshall [Leicester] and we transferred it at Scott Rostler's apartment on his gear."
-- "These are, without a doubt, the finest sounding versions of these historic recordings
that I have ever heard!!  I never thought that they would ever be available with such
clarity.  A real pleasure to listen to.  For me, the single most exciting track is
"99 Years", hearing the young Pigpen doing what he did the best, singing the blues."
 - SIRMick, September 2007.
-- The tape box shows that the performer of "Blue Goose" was Ken Frankel.  Ken was a
friend of Jerry's and played with him in several early bands during 1962-63. Mick
recently contacted Ken and, after hearing Blue Goose, confirmed that it was him
performing on this track. In addition, he thinks that it was probably taped by Rodney
Albin, who ran The "New" Boars Head.
-- We think Rodney Albin possibly taped the Sleepy Hollow Hog Stompers performance.
However, that is basically speculation, based in part on the correspondence with Ken Frankel.
