Jimi Hendrix 'Studio #5' 1968 - 1969

Howdy and welcome to the next installment of whotrader's Jimi's Forgotten Sessions, exclusively on TTD. This time I present 'Studio #5 1968 - 1969' with no other information received when I traded for this back in 1994. This one appears to be not quite as clean as #4 in terms of a nice, balanced sound, but this session has more great jamming from Jimi, especially in the second half. As always, if anyone can shed some light on these sessions, we would ALL appreciate it. Sample included and more to come.

When I started trading for bootlegs about 40 years ago now, I always loved Jimi Hendrix and Cream but quickly realized that almost all audience recordings made in the '60s are unlistenable from an enjoyment perspective. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad these recordings exist from a historical perspective, but, personally, I've never been able to really enjoy them because of the crusty quality. So, I used to avoid trading for Jimi audience shows, but if I could find some excellent quality, rare recordings from Jimi like these studio sessions, I just couldn't get enough. The down side, is that I literally have no information about these session recordings, but it's all about the music, right? ENJOY !!
