The Tulsa show was long time overdue and requested by fans for years now.
Finally , we have it. It is a solid performance with a nice song line-up and
Elvis really having a good time on stage. No wonder, July 4, 1976 was National
Day - 200 years after the Declaration Of Independance was signed. Hence, the
title of this new FTD. Highlights: You Gave Me A Mountain, America (The
Beautiful), An American Trilogy, Help Me, Hurt or How Great Thou Art. Definitely
one of the best shows from this tour. The Duluth concert is also really good. Elvis looks slim and trim, is focused on the music and delivers fine renditions of songs like Fever, Steamroller Blues, Hurt, It's Now Or Never or Blue Christmas and many more. The bonus tracks from Madison are a nice addition and round up a great 1976 double cd pack. Thanks Ernst and team ! (Ciscoking) |
