Al Stewart 1977-02-11 Avery Fisher Hall New York, NY

Al Stewart - The Lostbrook Tape Series - Volume 101

I was very impressed with Al Stewart's performance at the Bottom Line
in November 1976 (see Vol 14) and wanted to see the show again, but
this concert was sold out and I didn’t have a ticket.  I couldn’t find
any friends to accompany me, so I drove to the concert alone, hoping to
buy a ticket outside the theater.  I parked the car on Broadway, walked
to Lincoln Center, and immediately found someone selling an extra ticket.
His name was Norman, and he sold me a seventh row seat for face value.  He
struck me as an unusual character, and when the seat turned out to be next
to his, I discovered that he was very talkative and wanted to be my friend.
He occasionally yelled things at the stage that made me cringe, but in the
end, we got along and had a good time.  I deleted a few "Norman-isms" to
make this more listenable.  Norman - if you're out there - this one's for you.
