Announcement:		This limited edition version of Bruce Jackson's "On the Road with Elvis" with 3 CDs featuring audio commentary by Jack Mullins and two soundboards: Sioux Falls, October 18 1976 and Atlanta, December 30, 1976, will be available as a Follow That Dream (FTD) release in September. Bruce was Elvis' sound engineer at the concerts from 1971 to 1977. The book was previously released on its own by Gary Jackson in 2018.
Concert:		First of all the shows are accompanied by an audio documentary disc hosted by Jack Mullins. It follows the year 1976 in chronological order featuring all tours and casino stops. Inserted are studio songs and live tracks in astonishingly good sound quality. All taken from former FTD releases which are named at the end of the disc. It is really a nice listening with many infos and stories around this year. Very well done. On CD 2 we can witness Sioux Falls from Oct 18, 1976 in perfect sound quality. Its has never been released before in any form besides 2 songs we found as bonus tracks on FTD "A Minnesota Moment". The show is pretty good like many others from this tour. Gone were those days in summer where Elvis delivered some real weak performances. He was back on track and focused on the music with a good song line up. CD 3 gives us the long awaited soundboard from Atlanta, Dec 30, 1976. The show is pretty known from audience recordings we have. Anyway, this is the first SB outing and it reveals how good this show really was indeed. The first surprise is Big Boss Man done at the beginning of the concert right after I Got A Woman. Two songs later the audience is singing Happy Birthday to the star. It obviously touched him. Atlanta loved Elvis and Elvis loved Atlanta. He once described the city as "my second home" and the concerts there were always something special. There is no exception here. Later he picks his guitar and sings a line of songs: Such A Night (what a rarity), Reconsider Baby (what a surprise), Are You Lonesome Tonight and That's All Right, wow ! And so the show goes on. At the end we have singing Elvis Unchained Melody accompanying himself on piano. An almost magic moment. The crowd must have had a fantastic evening. This Atlana concert definitely is one of the best shows he gave in 1976. I would even say it is the best. Together with the Sioux Falls performance I'd say this is the best 1976 double pack we got so far by FTD. (Ciscoking)
