COMMENTS:
This is the only recording circulating (as far as we know) from the great Slane Castle concert of 1982.
Big Jim kindly offered to share his 1st generation tapes to Erik_Snow, hoping that they could be "reworked" to sound a little better.
Erik then sent the tapes to Falo, so that he could transfer the tapes to the harddrive, and rework the sound from there (speed correction slow down 6,78 %,
dehissing, EQing; used software: dart pro 98 & cool edit pro)
The result is a more listenable recording of this great 1982 show, compared to the original recording.
It's also a lower generation source, compared to the circulating one.
Still - this one is recommended to hardcore fans only, since it's not the best recording.
If somebody has a different recording from this famous Slane Castle 1982 concert, please consider sharing it. With so many people attending, it's strange that only 1 recording has circulated.
