REVIEW:

This DAC release presents again more Paris and Nassau works over the years from 79 through 83. It was released by VGP as number 52 of its catalogue and the same songs are here although “Golden Caddy” was then called "Brown Leaves"; this disc has been remastered in gold edition but it also came out on TSP which some years ago re released it as a bouncy digipack. All songs are generally longer than the original release: the first one that gives the title to the album was in fact called "Tie You Up" and is 26 seconds longer here, while the second track is an old melodic song different from the Bigger Bang one. The version of "Slave" here enclosed is the third one with sax solo while the first take of "She Was Hot" a slower version that lasts here for an additional 22 seconds: this release still has some hiss leftover from the past but has a great sound output anyway with extreme stereo separation. The version of "Dance" is 23 seconds longer while the instrumental "Golden Caddy" is probably the best track of this cd with classy elegant riffs and catchy tune, another lost gem in the long Stones outtakes discography ( 27 seconds longer). After an amost instrumental take of "She's So Cold" there is a bonus track, the early version of "Start Me Up" that was originally called "Never Stop" that ends this album in reggae mood.
