Riot 2006-04-09 Lintfabriek Kontich, Belgium

Band - Riot
Venue - Lintfabriek
Location - Kontich, Belgium
Date - Sunday April 9 2006

Lineage - My Sony Minidisc (don't know the model) - Analog to laptop (because I don't have a Digital IN) - Lotsa magic (Apogee.. Waves Voodoo to make it listenable) - YOU !!

14 tracks - 78m

No setlist as I don't know the band...

If you know the setlist... Please post it or mail it to me

Track 8 - Burn (Deep Purple Cover)

This was a Hit 'n Run Show.. Band arrived 5 minutes before show .. Played .. And left after 1 beer..

Band

Mark Reale - Guitars
Mark Flyntz - Guitars
Pete Perez - Bass Guitar
Mike Tirelli - Vocal
Frank Gilchriest - Drums

This is for fans or interested people only as the recording is distorted & very muddy..

But Hey.. It's taped...

Not knowing what to expect, I went to had a good time.. Not the tape the "ultimate" liveshow.. Priority was for my beers.. Not my recorder

The band payed for 47 people (31 paying !!) ..

I was pleasantly surprised...

Some songs are old school trash... (early mid 80's style)
Some are late 70's melodic rock..

And you gotta love the "Eleanor Rigby" guitar shoutout in the last song..

Don't know the history of the (touring)band.. All I know is that Frank also drums for Virgin Steele.. IF HE FINDS THE AIRPLANE (Inside Joke)

And Dam'n.. When they started playing I went to take a leak.. (urgent).. Came back..
Went to check em out (Front Row-Not difficult).. And I thought they had Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan with them as a singer.. This guys a Deadringer..

See for yourself On the included Jamtothis Bonus

So... Njoy

Your friend at Liveshowz.biz.....

This is Volume 4 of 6 DVD’s straight from the vaults of the NBC. A total of over 10 hours of recordings from the 1980 Floor Show of which only a mere 45 minutes were actually released in the US. The recordings include dance rehearsals, song rehearsals and much more. These DVD’s contain very rare live performances from David that have never been released in any other form ever before. Bowie's performance on Saturday the 19th October, went on for over 10 hours as each song was performed and filmed over and over. Because of the small size of the Marquee, only two cameras were able to film and so each song was shot, as many as five to six times, to allow for camera re-positioning and the overall satisfaction of Bowie and the film crew. The whole thing was, according to Bowie later, "shot abysmally." The fans, of course, loved the fact that they got to see their hero perform many times over. During the intervals between takes, and despite having just recovered from a recent bout of influenza, Bowie laughs and jokes with the audience and signs autographs. This DVD set is absolutely 100% authentic and a must for every David Bowie fan. The DVD's are recorded region free. All six DVDs make up more than 10 hours from The 1980 Floor Show (The Midnight Special).

Notes:
This is all that was taped from this source. The WLL-TY portion of the tape was originally between STH and BYAS, which has been fixed for this release. We presume that part of the acoustic set was recorded over so the taper could capture fragments of the end of the show. This recording was also on an already used cassette. You can hear some bleed in during quieter sections.
This recording is left unaltered other than channel balancing done using the azimuth plugin in iZotope RX, matching the volume between the two tape sides (Side B was recorded at a lower level than Side A), the running order fix described above, editing out blank/unrelated tape, and tracking, all done in Adobe Audition.
Thanks to John Bowes for taping this show, Glyn for transferring the cassette, and to June72 from The Dogs of Doom for liberating the show.

The sound starts a bit rough on here, but does clear up in the middle of the first disc. This one seems to be quite a good performance, and once it clears up is a nice listen (even if the vocals are somewhat buried here).

Solo Acoustic.  Vince played at Wayne Henderson's festival which is a one day festival held every June.  Wayne Henderson is one of America's best guitar makers, called a luthier, and presented guitars to Vince and Bill Kirchen, both of which performed this day.  A heavy rainstorm begins during This Old Guitar And Me, but the music played on.  This is a fantastic set, I think you will agree.

This is probably the worst sounding of the run of these shows, and it's anyone guess why Substitute is missing. It sounds like the band is performing fairly well, and we have superb renditions of some of the songs in the encore. But the sound here is bad enough that this will not appeal to casual Who collectors.

This is Volume 3 of 6 DVD’s straight from the vaults of the NBC.
