Comments: This is Jon's first full show of the tour (He did some shorter sets at Epcot Center earlier this month). I thought it was a fantastic show. Jon still sounds great, and I love the new album and love that he is playing a solid chunk of it live. His nine piece band was very interesting. There were a few spots of first night uncertainty, but overall they were very good. I especially like the horns, flute, violin and extra percussion. It gives a new feel to some worn out classics that was quite refreshing. Jon only introduced the band members by first name because he couldn't remember their full names, with the exception of Rayford Griffin who was the drummer for the Anderson Ponty shows. I took the list of players from Henry's Yes news site, as the first names matched the rest of the line-up. The set list is a mixture of the Yes war-horses, stuff from 1,000 Hands and some other stuff from Jon's career. WDMCF is my least favorite track on the new album, but came across way better live. My favorite track from the album, "Activate", was disappointingly not played.

The recording came out very good. I'm pleased with the results. I actually bought a new seat while I was already in the theater, because my original seat was so bad. Some closer seats became available today. It was well worth it because it was the sweet spot for recording. There is some crowd murmur in-between two of the songs, which makes it hard to hear what Jon was saying in one spot. Otherwise it is a pretty nice capture. It was a really fun show.

As always, artwork is included with actual photos from the show.
