Show Notes:
I remember seeing the setlist for this one at 4 PM and being "disappointed" for some reason...but then The Magpie Salute started playing the songs...

I had more than one fan come up early-on during and ask "What's wrong with John?", and it turns out his mother had passed away earlier in the day.

In that spirit, this show is dedicated to John Hogg's mother, and I am going to refrain from coloring your judgement on this performance and instead let you hear the proceedings without my normal run-on verbiage.

That he was able to come out and perform for the fans, and finish the tour, is both a testament and a statement to how *great* music is food for the soul.

He's a very humble guy, and I give him full kudos for stepping into gnome shoes and turning them into giant boots. She raised a hell of a son, and his take on the Crowes songs I find both refreshing and exciting...that he can hit obscure (and not-so-obscure) covers out of the park as well, it's just great that this music is back out on the road again, and not in casinos, shopping malls and state fairs.

Hopefully these following recordings will show you (i.e. let you hear) the same.

HUGE thanks to the DO'er of "all things Magpie", that being the inimitable Dennis Orr. There is a double-gatefold album signed by all with personal thanks from Rich and Marc with your name on it, my friend.

I'ma just gonna keep getting under your skin and fingernails, as it's what I do best.
