this was going to include these "bonus tracks" because the radio show was just an hour, the band was bigger than Mt. Everest at this time and these are all TV appearances during their debut tour, and to fill up a CD, although since there are
fewer and fewer folks listening to CD's any more, and all these performances have some unique quirks to them, I decided to leave all of these in here since they're good ones and all from master audio tapes of the TV broadcasts. I thought the band sounded a little nervous or trepid in the TV appearances, except in the billboard awards and the second Tonight show appearance, they sounded inspired and fired up. they sounded very comfortable and enthusiastic in the radio show. this band went from no name to grammy awards faster than the police or U2 or elvis costello or anyone in quite awhile in the world of rock. a year before this, nobody had heard of them, but by this time there was no escaping their "kryptonite" and "loser" on the radio. the Spin Doctors just had a pocket full of kryptonite. 3 doors down had a fortress of it, and in 2013, they're still a big act and quite active in the American rock touring circuit, having followed up this tour with several more albums and tours since then, including several more big hit songs.
