Notes:

This is not a great recording, but its the first recording I ever made,
so it holds a significant amount of nostalgia for me. I checked the calendar
and realized we are coming up on the 25th anniversary, so what better time to
finally share it? I dubbed a few tapes for friends in the 1990's, but aside
from that -- no ones ever heard this. You will hear a friend of mine yelling
various things into the mic (including my name at the encore break) as he was
busting my chops. He couldnt believe I wanted to sneak in a recorder and once
I was inside, he thought it might be fun to mess with me. The openers were
No Doubt and the Goo Goo Dolls. I did not record No Doubt but did record the
Goo Goo Dolls. Sadly, the red light on the CTR-96 was very bright and security
walked me out to the main concourse and confiscated my tape and batteries.
Thankfully, I brought backup batteries just in case. This gig is a great one
because it features an early "Greedy Fly" (different lyrics) prior to the
recording of Razorblade Suitcase. The band also performed the rarely played
soundtrack cuts "Old" and "Bubbles", as well.

Ive been taping almost every gig Ive attended since this concert, so the
memory of this is very near and dear. I was 15 years old fooling around with
a Radio Shack recorder and it's actually not THAT bad, given the circumstances.
I went on to use this recorder through 1997 and then trashed it for a Sony
MZR-30 MD in 1998. The rest is history.
