Tyler & Crespo play DJs on Buffalo radio 12/9/82
Notes: I love the Rock In Hard Place album and tour. Perry and Whitford took off for their own bands and played the clubs, while the cache of the name Aerosmith still managed to fill big arenas. The second generation of Aero fans who weren't old enough to see them in the 1970s (like me) flocked to see this version of the band primed by the "Lightning Strikes" video played every few minutes on MTV. People overlook the tour and album, but this was a good kick ass rock and roll outfit. Crespo played the role of Perry perfectly and Dufay lit a fire under the band. This kept the band going until Perry and Whitford returned two years later to mixed results. This is a good recording, straight from the taper. Unfortunately he missed most of "Lick and Promise" and all of "Sweet Emotion." Still, this one of the better audience recordings of the tour. I capped the up with Tyler & Crespo playing DJs on Buffalo radio.
