This appears to be an FM broadcast recorded at the L.A. Forum in December, 1983 -- the cover of the CD says Dec. 10, but the Moody Blues tour and set list website says the band performed there Dec. 1-3 (see http://www.toadmail.com/~notten/52_TP83.htm ).
This tour was in support of The Present, an album said to have been painful one for the band to make. In any case, many of these songs were quickly retired from their shows.
This CD is one of many amazing discs compiled by a nameless guy on a label he called Sophox, and is the only one I have that escaped damage over the years (less than five) as a result of the label adhesive corroding the disc and destroying data. If anyone else has any other of these discs, like the lovely acoustic Justin Hayward collection Forever to be Alone, please share them!
